Tongue & Groove 1" - 9

This 1" - 9 blind nailed 1/2" gap siding measures 1.000" thickness, allowing random width blanks of five-quarter lumber for machining on an industrial moulder. The practical profile comprises a 1 1/4" wide offset tongue with a chamfered edge for moisture displacement when installed. The opposing side edge retains a 3/4" wide by 5/16" tall groove. When two pieces of milled lumber get joined, they create a decorative 1/2" wide by 7/16" deep channel between the merged boards. When installed, the securing nails are hidden underneath the piece of lumber on top of it, creating a cleaner look with no visible nail holes. There is a built-in .015" void in the tongue & groove joint for seasonal changes in relative humidity.
