Tongue & Groove 1-1/4" - 11

This 1-1/4" - 11 v-groove decking measures 1.250" thickness, allowing the detail to use six-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial moulder. The cutters can mill the side edges of a piece of wood measuring 1-1/4" thickness with the pattern consisting of a 1/2" wide by 1/2" tall t & g, with one 3/16" wide by 3/16" tall forty-five-degree angle on the face side. There is a .030" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the lumber during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two timbers get joined together, they create a 3/8" wide v-groove on one side of the joined boards. The detail is commonly used as wood ceiling planks to enhance the room's overall design.
