This 1-1/4" - 2 double v-channel/ gap decking measures 1.250" thickness, enabling the detail to use six-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial moulder. The knives can mill the side edges of a piece of lumber measuring 1-1/4" thickness with this pattern consisting of a 1/2" wide by 1/2" tall t & g with two 3/16" wide by 3/16" tall bevels on both faces. There is a .030" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the lumber during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two timbers get joined together, they create a 3/8" wide v-groove on both faces of the boards, enabling the installer to choose the best-milled face for the project.
