Tongue & Groove 1-7/16" - 4

This decorative 1-7/16" - 4 tongue & groove roof decking measures 1.437" thickness, necessitating the use of six or eight-quarter lumber; widths are adjustable to desired sizes within the parameters of the moulder/shaper used to mill the pattern. One side of the profile comprises a 1/2" wide by 7/16" deep groove with a 1/4" wide by 3/16" deep chamfer on one edge. The opposite side of the detail consists of a 7/16" wide by 3/8" protruding tongue with a 1/4" wide by 3/16" deep chamfer on one edge. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined, they form a 1/2" wide by 3/16" deep v-groove on one face side of the joined boards, with a 1/16" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction during seasonal changes in relative humidity.
