This 1-3/4" - 6 tongue & groove subfloor/decking measures 1.750" thickness; this detail is machined from the left and right vertical cutter heads, enabling the widths to be machined to any desired size. The basic butt joint profile comprises a 1/2" tall by 7/16" wide tongue and a 9/16" tall by 1/2" wide groove with eight-degree angled lines to aid in production and installation. When two milled boards are joined together, they create a simple butt joint with a .062" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity.
