This (WP-10) 5-1/16" - 2 tongue & groove paneling measures 5.438" overall width and a thickness of .718", requiring the use of a 5-11/16" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial-grade molder. The long-established profile contains a 4-7/16" flat section with a 13/64" vertical step on the top center. It's connected to a recessed 1/2" wide half-round bead, flanked by 1/16" sunken fillets. The groove dimensions are 7/16" wide by 17/64" tall. The tongue measures 3/8" wide by 1/4" tall, with a 0.020" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined, they create a decorative 5/8" broad channel between the merged boards.
