This 5-3/16" - 2 tongue & groove siding measures overall 5.500" wide with a 5.187" face dimension, the thickness equals .750", the profile is comprised of a 1/4" wide by 5/16" deep tongue and groove with three 1/4" wide by 1/4" deep grooves or quirks that are divided by 1-1/2" fillets on the face side and a 1/16" gap on the back side when assembled. A 1/4" spacer will need to be inserted in the joint area at the time of assembly to keep the 1/4" gap and 1/16" groove consistent because the tongue does not bottom out in the design; this is left for expansion and contraction of the wood when installed.
