This decorative 5-1/2" - 8 tongue & groove paneling measures 5.750" in width by .750" in thickness, requiring 6" wide blanks of four-quarter lumber for machining with an industrial moulder. The straightforward design comprises a 1/4" by 1/4" tongue and groove with a .010" void in the joint for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. The top retains a 5" wide flat section bordered by a 1/4" half circle and a 1/8" angle on the tongue side, and a 1/8" by 1/8" chamfer on the groove edge. When two pieces of milled lumber join, they create a 5-1/2" face dimension with a 1/2" wide by 1/8" deep v-groove with a recessed (.020") center bead.
