Tongue & Groove 6-13/16" - 2

This 6-13/16" - 1 Pickwick tongue & groove siding measures 7.187" overall by .718" thickness, and the face coverage dimension is 6.812" wide. The profile is composed of two 5/32" radius half-round beads that are separated by a 17/32" radius cove, small bevels are used in the transition between the geometrical shapes, and the remaining 4-15/16" of the design is flat with a 1/4" wide chamfer on the outer edge on both the top and bottom. When two pieces of lumber are joined together, they create a 2-1/8" profile area on one face and a 1/2" wide by 11/64" deep v groove on the opposite face. There is a .015" void around the tongue joint for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity.

The time-honored classic is somewhat of a legend in siding applications; it seems as though anything named Pickwick back in the 1930s through 1960s was trendy back then; the name most likely refers to The Pickwick Papers written by Charles Dickens back in the early 1800's, the pattern remains an icon in current architectural design presentations.
