This decorative 7" - 2 tongue & groove siding measures 7.437" wide by .750" thickness, permitting the detail to be machined out of four-quarter lumber. The well-designed functional profile is composed of a 6-1/4" broad straight flat line in the center, attached to a 3/16" wide by 3/16" deep forty-five-degree bevel that joins to a one-inch broad line segment with a 3/64" eased edge on the left side. The joint portion of the design consists of an 11/32" tall offset groove, the tongue dimension is 5/16" wide by 9/32" tall, there is a .031" void built into the knife design for expansion and contraction of the lumber during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined, they create a face coverage dimension of 6-31/32" wide with a 23/32" wide by 3/16" deep tapered channel between the joined boards.
