Tongue & Groove 3/8" - 2

This 3/8" - 2 channel tongue & groove measures .375" thickness, enabling the detail to be milled out of resawn five-quarter lumber. The width gets machined to any desired size within the parameters of the moulder or shaper used to cut the pattern. The profile comprises a 1/8" tall by 1/2" deep overlap tongue and groove flanked by 1/8" tall vertical lines. This offset pattern is perfect for areas of a room that require blind nailing during the installation process. When two milled pieces of lumber merge, they create a 1/8" wide by 1/8" deep channel/quirk on one face side of the joined boards. There is a .007" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction to accommodate seasonal changes in relative humidity. This knife design includes five-degree draft angles to maintain the ability to sharpen the cutters without altering the profile while prolonging the milling time between sharpening.
