This 11/16" tongue & groove picket fencing measures .687" thickness, allowing the pattern to be machined from four-quarter lumber, and widths are milled to any desired size within the parameters of the moulder/shaper used to cut the detail. There is a .031" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two pieces of lumber are joined, they create a standard 3/8" wide by 5/32" deep v-groove pattern for building picket fences. The pointed tongue measures 7/16" wide by 9/32" tall; the groove dimension is 1/2" wide by 3/8" wide.
