This decorative 687" - 3 double v-groove siding measures .687" thickness, allowing any size width of four-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial moulder. The wide-milled panels are for covering walls & ceilings to form a beautiful interior look. It consists of a 1/4" tall by 5/16" deep groove with two 1/4" bevels on the right edges. The opposite side retains the identical chamfer with a 1/4" high by 9/32" wide tongue. There is a built-in void of .008"; this space is for the expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two milled pieces of lumber join, they create a 1/4" wide by 1/8" deep v-groove on both face sides where the boards meet.
