This 3/4" wide V groove is utilized for tongue & groove or shiplap siding profiles. The detail is designed for a moulder with two top horizontal spindles. The knife design allows the moulder operator to mill a finish thickness dimension on the first top cutter head, then place a 3/4" wide V groove anywhere on either face of the board with the second top, or, second bottom cutter head. The knives are capable of milling a V groove any width from .001" to 1.031" wide, this is controlled by how deep the operator sets the knives into the wood, this detail has great flexibility in usage and reduces production cost while saving time.
