This simplistic 3-1/2" - 40 chair rail/casing measures 3.500" width by .750" thickness, permitting a 3-3/4" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial moulder. The modern profile contains a two-inch-wide by 1/4" deeply sunk fillet in the center, flanked by 3/4" wide raised fillets with 3/64" eased edges on all four corners. We offer a larger version of this profile with the same design characteristics for your review and consideration, chair rail 5.500" - 7.
