Crown 2-1/2" - 12

This concave 2-1/2" - 12 crown mould measures 2.500" wide by .750" thickness, enabling the use of four-quarter lumber for machining sprung (laying horizontally flat on a commercial-grade molder. The creative terminating profile is comprised of a 1-1/16" radius cavetto in the center, attached to a 5/16" vertical fillet at the top, the lower portion of the profile consists of a 7/64" broad line, joined to two tangent radiuses forming a cyma reversa/ogee with a 3/16" wide horizontal fillet on the bottom of the pattern. The fixed spring angles are set at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; these particular back bevels keep the face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed; they also lock in the positioned height at 2" tall with a projection of 1-1/2" across the top.

Three high points in the design are intentionally positioned on the same level plane; this design feature will assure excellent hold-down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the moulder pressure shoe is appropriately set parallel to the machine bed plates. Use one of our 125% concentration ultimate Borazon grinding wheels, finish grinding at 3000 rpm's, with a twenty-degree back clearance angle, will create a superior micro edge on all your high-speed steel knives. During the machining process, these cutters will be capable of milling some of the finest quality architectural millwork you have ever produced.
