This Beveled/Shaker Crown Moulding 4" - 6 measures 4.000" wide by .750" thickness with a depth of cut of .364" on the right vertical blades, a .434" depth of cut on the left vertical cutters, and a .501" depth of cut on the top horizontal profile knives.
The chamfered pattern is comprised of a 23/64" wide by 31/64" tall squared fillet on the top, and a 15/32" tall by 35/64" wide squared fillet at the bottom of the pattern, they are connected to one another by a 2-45/64" long beveled straight line. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, search our bevels category by these degrees to find two sets of back bevel cutter appropriate for this beveled crown moulding design, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 3-1/16" tall with a projection of 2-9/16" wide. We have a few other beveled crowns in this same size, crown 4.000" - 7, crown 4.000" – 14, and crown 4.000" – 2, you may want to review these details for consideration in your current project.
Two high points in the profile were intentionally positioned on the same level plane, this creative design feature will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the moulder pressure shoe is properly set parallel to the moulder bed plates. We provide the cut steel size on all our moulding knife designs, this specialized feature allows you to be able to obtain the correct width size of knife steel before you start knife grinding procedures and moulding production.
