Crown Moulding 6-1/8"

Crown Moulding 6-1/8"

This beautifully elegant crown moulding 6-1/8" measures 6.132" wide by .750" thickness, enabling the pattern to be milled from four quarter lumber. The distinguished profile is composed of a 5/16" tall vertical line on top, connected to a 3/4" cove that transitions into a 27/32" concave semicircle tangent off of a angled line segment that joins to a 1-21/32" radius arc in the center, attached to a 29/64" tall by 3/16" wide squared lines that connects to a two tangent radius cyma reversa with a 5/16" wide horizontal line at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at forty-five degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 4-5/16" tall with a projection of 4-23/64" wide.

Read our commentary about axial constant positioning for crown bevels, the article will help you dial this profile in axially provided the machine is properly calibrated. Three high points in the detail were deliberately positioned on the same plane, our disciplined design features will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling, as long as the moulder pressure shoe is parallel to the machine bed plates.

For knife quoting purposes click to open the calculator below, we have added only the important measurements, just enter the appropriate dimension in the boxes provided. A brief detailed explanation on how to use the calculator is located here. Need some assistance with the dimensions? Print a copy of our fraction - decimal - millimeter chart, place it on the molder to help operators save time and increase accuracy during machine setup.
