This beautifully ornate 7-5/8" - 1 crown mould measures 7.625" wide by 1.187" thick, allowing the detail to be milled, sprung (laying horizontally flat) out of six-quarter lumber. The highly decorative profile is composed of many common geometrical shapes, including two thumbnail-shaped semicircular arcs, coves, ovolos, perpendicular notches, and stepped fillets, all of which come together to create this elegant terminating crown mould. The spring angles are fixed at 30 and 60 degrees; these are included in the downloadable DXF file below. When installed, these back cutters set the height to 6-1/2" and the projection to 4". Three high points in the detail were deliberately positioned on the same plane; our disciplined design features will assure excellent hold-down conditions while milling, as long as the
pressure shoe is parallel to the machine bed-plates.
