This beautiful 2-3/4" - 24 handrail measures 2.750" wide by 2.312" tall, requiring the detail to be machined from glued-up pieces of four, five, six, or eight-quarter lumber. The luxurious profile is composed of a 2-3/4" wide by 1-9/32" tall oval shaped top consisting of two tangent radiuses, joined to a tapered inward line segment tangent to a concave semicircular arc that provides a comfortable gripping area when ascending or descending a flight of stairs in the center, the lower section retains a 25/64" tall vertical line segment at a 2-1/4" width, the bottom of the railing has a centered 1-1/2" wide by 1/4" deep dado for the balusters or balustrade.
