A nosing is a functional horizontal trim piece that protects the edge of something, like the tread of a staircase that extends beyond the riser, or the
edges of a countertop to name a few. Some nosing details have dado's milled into them to receive the edge of a shelf. They provide a decorative design and good structural support. Other patterns may have rabbets milled into the backside, like the edge of a
tongue and groove used in flooring applications. We currently offer over three hundred and sixty decorative, well-designed nosings with a wide range of styles and uses, including bullnose, beaded face frames, shelving, stair treads, flooring, countertops, and more. We combined many geometrical shapes, including
half round, fillets, ovolo,
ogee, rabbets, dadoes, radiuses, torus, cavetto's and turned them into many stunning patterns to greatly enhance the style and decor of your fabulous home or office.
If you don't see the profile that best suits your needs, send us a sketch. We would be happy to design a profile on cad, cut an acrylic template with our CNC machinery, and grind a set of knives on our Weinig R 960 profile grinder for any pattern you desire.
When searching our bullnose profiles, use thickness dimensions. Please input width dimensions to narrow size preferences in the search boxes above for all other nosing designs. If you're looking for a specific size, enter the exact measurements in the minimal box provided above.
