Panel Mould 1-3/8" - 21

This custom 1-3/8" - 21 panel mould measures 1.375" wide by 1.500" thick, necessitating the use of eight-quarter lumber for milling; it could be milled from six-quarter material, but there would only be 1/16" left for milling on the right and left vertical cutter heads. The unique profile comprises a 3/4" wide bullnose top flanked by a 1/8" broad segment that joins to a deep down-sloping 15/32" radius cove, leaving a 1/4" thickness dimension on the right side of the pattern. The backside rabbet dimension is 3/8" wide by 3/4" tall; this area is adjustable with a simple axial adjustment of the left vertical cutter head on the molder.
