This distinguished 3-1/8" picture frame measures 3.125" wide by 1.750" thick, requiring eight-quarter lumber to mill this detail on an industrial molder. The beautifully graceful profile is comprised of a deep sloping five tangent radius scotia that transitions into a 9/32" wide half-round circle on top, the left side of the detail retains a 13/32" concave arc with a 1/2" tall vertical line on the bottom, the right side has a 1/4" broad line with a 3/32" eased edge. The rabbet measures 3/8" wide by 3/8" tall, this area can be adjusted in height with a simple axial adjustment of the left cutter head on the molder.
