This dual-purpose 11/16" - 7 shiplap siding measures .687" thickness, and widths are machined to any desired size within the limits of the molder or shaper used to mill the pattern. The double-sided profile can be installed either as a nickel board or a 1/2" broad v-groove face. The profile is composed of a 1/2" lap joint on the male side and a 5/8" lap on the female side. Which creates the 1/8" wide channel on one side, the opposing side consists of a 1/4" wide by 1/4" deep chamfered edge. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined, they create a 1/2" wide by 1/4" deep decorative v-shaped groove. We offer a couple of similar designs retaining the same 1/2" wide v joint for your review and consideration, shiplap siding .687" - 1 and shiplap siding .687" - 5.
