This tongue & groove beadboard 3" - 22 measures 3.250" overall by .750" thickness, enabling a 3-1/2" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for machining on a commercial moulder. The stylish profile contains a ¼" tall by 9/32" groove on the right. The opposite side has a 1/4" tall by 1/4" wide tongue. The top of the detail retains a 2-5/8" broad flat section, flanked by a 9/32" recessed bead and bevel on the left and a 3/32" chamfer on the right. There is a built-in .008" void in the t & g joint for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two pieces of milled lumber join, they create a three-inch face coverage dimension with a decorative 3/8" v-groove & center bead between the merged boards.
