Crown 1-5/8" - 1

This small stepped 1-5/8" - 1 crown mould measures 1.620" width by .625" thickness, requiring a 1-7/8" wide blank of four-quarter lumber to mill sprung (laying horizontally flat) on an industrial moulder. The beautiful terminating profile retains a 9/32" vertical line segment on the top left. The short stubby line connects to a 3/8" concave semicircle tangent off a 5/16" convex arc, creating the attractive cyma recta in the center. The remaining portion retains two squared steps on the design's bottom right corner. The fixed spring angles are set at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; these particular back bevels keep the face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed; in addition, they lock in the installed height at 1-1/4" tall with a 1-1/32" projection across the top.
