Crown 3-3/16" - 2

This standard 3-3/16" - 2 crown molding measures 3.188" wide by .687" thickness, allowing the use of four-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial molder. The traditional profile is comprised of a 5/8" radius arc tangent off of a 53/64" radius concave semicircle creating a cyma recta in the center, attached to a 1/2" tall vertical line on top. The lower portion consists of a 37/64" radius cove connected to a 15/64" vertical line and a 15/64" broad horizontal line on the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, with a one-half degree back cut on each side of the detail. These specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-9/16" tall with a projection of 1-29/32" wide. Two high points in the design were deliberately positioned on the same level plane; our creative design feature will create an optimal hold-down condition while milling.
