Crown 3-3/16" - 7

This delightful 3-3/16" - 7 crown mould measures 3.186" width by .750" thickness, permitting the detail to be machined sprung (laying horizontally flat) out of four-quarter lumber on an industrial molder. The highly decorative terminating profile contains a 1/2" tall vertical line segment on the top left, connected to a 3/8" concave semicircle tangent to a 7/16" arc forming the cyma recta with a 1/8" vertical drop in elevation in the center. This step merges with a 3/8" full by 5/8" tall perpendicular notch for inserting a piece of rope or dentil moulding, attached to a 1/2" cove with a 9/32" broad line on the bottom right side of the pattern. The fixed spring angles are at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; these particular back bevels keep the exposed face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed, as well as set the oriented height at 2-9/16" tall with a projection of 1-29/32" across the top.
