Crown 3-3/16" - 8

This intriguing 3-3/16" - 8 crown mould measures 3.201" width by .625" thickness, permitting the detail to be machined sprung (laying horizontally flat) out of four quarter lumber on an industrial-style molder. The elegant terminating profile contains a 15/64" tall vertical line segment on the top left, connected to a 7/8" concave semicircle tangent to a 1-1/32" convex arc forming the cyma recta with an 11/64" vertical drop in elevation in the center. This step merges with a smaller ogee with a 13/64" tall by 1/4" wide perpendicular lines on the bottom right side of the pattern. The fixed spring angles are at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; these particular back bevels keep the exposed face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed, as well as set the oriented height at 2" tall with a projection of 2-1/2" across the top.
