The common profile is comprised of three tangent radiuses creating a cyma recta in the center, attached to a 23/32" tall vertical fillet on top, and a 9/32" tall fillet below, joined to a 35/64" radius cove with a 13/64" wide horizontal fillet at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at forty-five degrees, search our bevels category by this degree to find back bevel cutters appropriate for this standard crown moulding design, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-19/32" tall with a projection of 2-3/16" wide. Two high points in the detail are purposely positioned on the same level plane, this specialized design feature will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the moulder pressure shoe is set parallel to the moulder bed plates.
Our precise cad drawings contain plenty of important information that will assist you during setup and milling of this crown moulding profile. Our acrylic templates also provide sufficient blend areas on the knives so you will never realize where one moulding cutter begins or ends, this practice will substantially increase moulding yield during the milling process.
