Door Jamb 3/4" - 1

This modern 3/4" - 1 interior door jamb measure .750" in thickness, allowing the pattern to be milled out of four-quarter lumber. The widths are manufactured to any desired size within the parameters of the machinery used to cut the design. The most typical width sizes are 4-9/16" wide for a 2" x 4" frame with 1/2" sheetrock wall, 5-1/2" wide for a 2" x 4" frame with stucco or thicker drywall, and 6-9/16" wide for a 2" x 6" frame, or block wall. The contemporary profile is used when no door casing will be installed around the perimeter of the door jamb; it will provide a clean, crisp edge after the joint compound is applied between the two entities. The side of the pattern is comprised of a 3/32" rounded edge with a 3/32" tall line segment with a 5/32" wide by 3/8" deep dado for a drywall reglet to slide into; it tapers back five degrees on the bottom to assure superior seating between the reglet and jamb edge.
