The ordinary profile is comprised of a shallow cyma recta in the middle consisting of two tangent radiuses, attached to a 1/2" tall vertical fillet on top. The lower portion of the pattern consists of a 15/32" radius cove flanked by a 21/64" tall vertical fillet, and a 7/32" wide horizontal fillet at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, search our bevels category by these degrees to find back bevel cutters appropriate for this common crown moulding design, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-13/16" tall with a projection of 2-1/16" wide. Two high points in this detail were intentionally positioned on the same level plane, this custom design feature will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the pressure shoe is properly set parallel to the bed plates.
