This Timeless Crown Moulding 3-3/4" - 15 measures 3.750" wide by .750" thickness with a depth of cut of .620" on the right vertical blades, .529" on the left vertical cutters, and a .291" depth of cut on the top horizontal set of moulding knives. We have a few other options in this same size width for your review and consideration, crown 3.750" - 2, crown 3.750" - 3, and crown 3.750" - 22, they all have slightly different dimensions on most of the detail, but mainly on height and projection.
The standard profile is comprised of a cyma recta flanked by two vertical fillets, connected to a 3/8" radius cavetto with a 11/32" wide horizontal fillet on the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at forty-five degrees, search our bevels category by this degree to find a back bevel cutter appropriate for this graceful crown moulding design, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-19/32" tall with a projection of 2-23/32" wide. Two high points in the profile were intentionally positioned on the same level plane, this creative design feature will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the moulder pressure shoe is properly set parallel to the moulder bed plates.
