This Common Crown Moulding 4" - 41 measures 4.000" wide by .563" thickness with a depth of cut of .205" on the right vertical blades, .444" on the left vertical cutters, and a .420" depth of cut on the top horizontal set of moulding knives. We have a few other similar profiles with different heights and projections you may want to review and consider, crown moulding 4.000" - 22, crown 4.000" - 25, crown 4.000" - 46, crown 4.000", crown 4.000" - 48, and crown 4.000" - 52.
The standard profile is comprised of a cyma recta in the center, attached to a 17/32" tall vertical fillet on top and a 5/16" tall vertical fillet below, joined to a 35/64" radius cove with a 13/64" wide horizontal fillet located at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at forty-five degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 3" tall with a projection of 2-21/32" wide. Three high points in the detail were intentionally positioned on the same level plane, this specific design feature will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the moulder pressure shoe is properly set parallel to the moulder bed plates.
