This Traditional Crown Moulding 4" - 25 measures 4.000" wide by .750" thickness with a depth of cut of .444" on the right vertical blades, a .615" depth of cut on the left vertical profile cutters, and a .336" depth of cut on the top horizontal moulding knives. We have a few other similar profiles with different heights and projections you may want to review and consider, crown moulding 4.000" - 22, crown 4.000" - 48, crown 4.000" - 41, crown 4.000", crown 4.000" - 46, and crown 4.000" - 52.
The traditional profile is comprised of two tangent radiuses forming a cyma recta in the middle, flanked by a 21/64" vertical fillet on top and a 25/64" tall vertical line below, the lower portion of the profile consists of a 7/16" radius cove, with a 23/64" wide horizontal line at the bottom of the detail. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 3-3/32" tall with a projection of 2-17/32" wide. The three high points in the design were deliberately positioned on an identical plane, our precise design features will guarantee excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the pressure shoe is parallel to the moulder bed plates.
Our awesome cad drawings contain plenty of important information that will assist you during setup and milling of this moulding profile. Our acrylic templates also provide sufficient blend areas on the knives so you will never realize where one moulding cutter begins or ends, this specific design feature will substantially increase moulding yield during the milling process.
