This Exceptional Crown Moulding 4-5/8" - 9 measures 4.625" wide by .813" thickness with a depth of cut of .362" on the right vertical blades, a .490" depth of cut on the left profile knives and a .608" depth of cut on the top horizontal moulding cutters. We have a small group of similar style profiles with different widths, heights and projections, you may want to review and consider these profiles on your next trim project, crown moulding 3.250" - 10, crown 4.625" - 10, and crown 6.500" - 3.
The unique profile is comprised of a 2-9/32" radius cove in the center, attached to a 1/2" tall vertical line at the top. The lower portion of the design consists of a 25/64" wide half round circle, connected to a small vertical fillet that's joined to a 5/8" radius cove, with a 7/16" radius bullnose arc at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at forty-two and forty-eight degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 3-15/32" tall, with a projection of 3-1/16" wide. The half round bead in the center is the high point of the design, try using a felt wrapped pressure shoe when milling this detail, it will eliminate any unsightly burnish mark from the metal pressure shoe on the finished moulding.
Our precise cad drawings contain plenty of important information that will assist you during setup and milling of this moulding profile. Our acrylic templates also provide sufficient blend areas on the knives so you will never realize where one moulding cutter begins or ends, this specific design feature will substantially increase moulding yield during the milling process.
