Crown Moulding 7" - 31

This large colonial crown moulding 7" - 31 measures 7.000" wide by 1.000" thickness, necessitating the use of five quarter lumber for milling. The decorative profile is comprised of a 1-7/16" radius arc tangent off of a 1-17/32" radius semicircle creating a cyma recta in the center, attached to a 43/64" tall vertical line segment on top and a 21/32" tall fillet below, attached to a 1-1/16" radius cove with a 3/4" wide horizontal line at the bottom of the pattern. We offer a small group of similar patterns at various widths, heights and projections for your review and consideration, crown 1.500" - 4, crown 2.000", crown 2.500" - 4, crown 3.000" - 2, crown 4.000", crown 5.500" - 2 and crown molding 8.500" - 5.

The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these specific back cuts set the installed height at 5-13/32" tall with a projection of 4-29/64" wide. Three high points in the detail were deliberately positioned on the same plane, our standard design practices will assure exceptional hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder providing the pressure shoe is parallel to the bed plates.
