This Small Colonial Crown Moulding 1-1/2" - 4 measures 1.500" wide by .625" thickness with a .377" depth of cut on the right back side cutters, a .594" depth of cut on the left vertical blades and a .242" depth of cut on the top horizontal profile knives.
The common design consists of a cyma recta flanked by a 1/4" tall vertical fillet on top and a 11/64" tall fillet below, attached to a 3/16" radius cove and a 7/32" wide horizontal fillet at the bottom of the pattern. We currently have a small family of eight patterns including this one at various size widths, heights and projections for your review and consideration, 2" wide, 2-1/2" wide, 3" wide, 4" wide, 5-1/2" wide, 7" wide, and 8-1/2" wide.
The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these specific back cuts set the installed height at 1-11/64" tall with a projection of 15/16" wide. Three high points in the detail were deliberately positioned on the same level plane, our custom design practices will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder providing the pressure shoe is calibrated.
