Crown 3" - 2

This standard 3" - 2 crown mould measures 3.000" wide by .750" thickness, enabling a 3-1/4" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial moulder. The simple colonial design consists of a two tangent radius cyma recta flanked by a 9/32" tall vertical fillet in the upper portion and a 1/4" tall fillet below and attached to a 25/64" radius cove and 5/16" wide horizontal fillet at the bottom right corner. We currently have a group of eight profiles at various size widths, heights, and projections, for your review and consideration, 1-1/2" wide, 2" wide, 2-1/2" wide, 4" wide, 5-1/2" wide, 7" wide, and 8-1/2" wide. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-5/16" tall with a projection of 1-29/32" wide. Three high points in the detail are intentionally positioned on the same level plane. This specialized design feature will assure excellent hold-down conditions while milling, providing the pressure shoe is calibrated.
